KP-1 Available Secure IoT Platform Development
In this project, the student will work with a group of researchers to develop a secure IoT platform that allows IoT applications to be migrated between the cloud and IoT devices in a reliable and secure manner. The project will require knowledge of JavaScript, both on the client and server side. Experience in programming with IoT devices such as the Raspberry Pi is a plus.
KP-2 Available Fault Injection in Machine Learning Applications
Machine Learning (ML) applications are being increasingly deployed in safety-critical domains such as self-driving cars. Therefore, the reliability of ML applications is important. In this project, we will use fault injection to evaluate the resilience of safety-critical ML applications written in frameworks such as TensorFlow, and suggest automated techniques to improve their reliability based on the results.
