I received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT. Earlier, I spent almost 10 years in industry, working for IBM Research, where I was a research staff member and a research group manager.

My research interests are in quality, security, and reliability of software and AI systems. Together with my research group, I develop solutions that enable construction of reliable software systems in an efficient manner. Currently, our work focuses on security and integrity of mobile and cloud-based systems, as well as robustness, explainability, and fairness of AI systems.

My recent work in these areas won six Distinguished/Best Paper Awards at major conferences, such as ICSME'22, ICST'21, ISSTA'18 and ASE'15. More details about my current and past reseach projects can be found on the ReSeSS Research Lab and Publications pages.

I usually have openings in my group for new graduate and undergraduate students. Please read this if you are interested in applying.
