Associations & Societies Women in Engineering
I worked as a Graduate Community Representative of Women in Engineering (WiE) at UBC for the 2018-2019 academic year. As an executive of WiE, I actively took part in planning and organizing workshops, guest talks and events on targetted for the graduate community.
Graduate Student Society
I was the elected Councillor and departmental representative in the Graduate Student Society (GSS-UBC) for the years 2016-2018. As a councillor, I work as a representative of the ECE department in GSS council and actively take part in the policy-making and decision-making process of the society.
Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Association
I was the elected Treasurer of Electrical and Computer Engineering Graduate Student Association (ECEGSA), UBC for the year 2013-2014. As a Treasurer I was the primary administrator of ECEGSA budget and finances and the signing authority of its bank account. As an elected member of the executive-body, my duty was to organize and oversee the social, cultural and academic events the society arranged that year.
UBC Research Experience
I was an UBC Research EXperience (REX) mentor for the year 2017-2018, where I worked with undergraduate students to develop a research project. My students presented their work at the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference 2018 (MURC).

Volunteering Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference
I worked as an adjudicator at the Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Research Conference 2018 (MURC). As an adjudicator I was in charge of evaluating the presented posters and nominating authors for the best paper award.
Graduate Society at UBC
As a graduate student in UBC, I volunteered in organizing several events for the past four years, e.g. different multi-cultural new-year celebration parties, academic talks, etc. I was one of the volunteers for the Industrial Networking Night 2015 organized by the graduate students association.
Conference Volunteer Staff
I worked as a volunteer for several conferences including Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems 2020 (NeurIPS) and IEEE International Workshop on Multimedia Signal Processing 2018 (MMSP). As a volunteer I took care of the conference registration process, and assisted the host committee with program execution, exhibits and the virtual platform.
Undergraduate Admissions at UBC
I am a selected Alumni Reader for the Broad-Based Admissions process at the University of British Columbia (Broad Based Reader). As an alumni reader, I evaluate the applications of students applying to UBC undergraduate programs.
