I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of British Columbia. I am interested in machine learning applications for medical image computing. I mostly focus on developing medical image based framework that can be used for clinical decision support systems using supervised and unsupervised machine learning tools. I received my Ph.D. degree from The University of British Columbia, Vancouver in 2020. Prior to that I completed my M.A.Sc. studies from UBC in 2014 and received my B.Sc.Engg. degree with Honours from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2011.
During my studies at UBC, I have won multiple prestigious scholarships and awards. I was the recipient of the Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) for the years 2014 to 2018. 4YF is an university-wide scholarship awarded to UBC's outstanding PhD, DMA, and MDPhD students, based on academic excellence. During my PhD, I was also awarded the Faculty of Applied Science Graduate Award (GA), an annual competitive award given to top students of the department, for three successive years (2015-2018).
