Projects
¡¡
1. From Sep 2012 to present,
Project: Deep Learning for Sign Language Recognition
I will learn the theory of deep learning and apply it to sign language
recognition field.
2. From Jan. 2012 to Aug. 2012, Project: Corticomuscular
Coupling Analysis in Parkinson¡¯s Disease In this project, I am mainly responsible for developing information
fusion algorithms to extract the common source signals (latent
variables) from EEG and EMG data sets collected from normal subjects and
patients with Parkinson¡¯s Disease. I have developed two effective
algorithms: a multidirectional multi-set statistical method and a IC-PLS
model. They dig out very useful and meaningful spatial patterns from the
subjects.
3. From May 2010 to Dec. 2011, Project: Enabling technologies
for reliable wireless body area sensor networks In this project, I am trying to implement a secure and reliable portable
wireless EEG and EMG system. Now, I have realized a wireless portable
real-time EMG pattern recognition system used for recognizing hand
gestures for numbers and a wireless portable EEG band. The implemented
part includes data acquisition circuits, controlling zigbee wireless
module and graph user interface based on Java. The off-line EMG
classification accuracy for number gestures has achieved 95% and the
on-line case has achieved 92%. Some useful applications will be explored
further.
4. From Sep. 2009 to April 2010, Project: RFID-based sensor
networks for detecting and tracking mobile targets In this project, I read many research papers related on RFID-based
indoor localization and became familiar with most of the localization
methods. Through extensive reading and deeply thinking, I proposed a
more efficient location algorithm based on Mahalanobis distance which
was published as a conference paper. Then, I found that methods based on
Gaussian processes can achieve higher location precision through
extensive simulation.
5. From May 2008 to July 2009, Project: Long-distance Wireless
Electrocardiogram Monitoring System In this project, I have played an important role because I am
responsible for ECG preprocessing, realizing the signal processing
algorithm and improving the available ones. I have successfully
fulfilled by methods in time-domain and wavelet-domain respectively,
realized the normal algorithm by MatLab and C and made some effective
improvements about some specifics. By my outstanding performance, I
earned ¡°Outstanding Bachelor Thesis¡±.
6. From June, 2008 to October, 2008, the coach of 23 teams in
2008 RoboGame held in USTC In this mission, as the coach, I have successfully directed them to
design several kinds of two legged walking robots. They could walk
smoothly, dance neatly, fight adversary effectively by remote-controlled
operation and stand up within two seconds when knocked down. Depending
on our stable technique and optimum algorithm,, we have earned almost
all awards in the game. Rewarding to my outstanding leadership, I was
bestowed "Best Coach".
7. From May 2007 to Oct 2007, Designing Two Robots for
2007RoboGame Held in USTC I was the captain of a team including four other students. We have
designed a perfect robot, who could realize all requirements smoothly
and defeated all rivals readily, earning Champion of 2007RoboGame. In
the five months, we designed several useful circuit boards to control
all behaviors of the robot, process and analyze return signal, drive
motors, recognise different colors and convert a concrete voltage to
another. We also learned how to use electronic compass (geomagnetic
field) to help the robot recognise directions and enhance efficiency.
