Your program probably tried to execute an instruction that would access protected memory, probably due to a bug in the Windows operating system. If the problem is repeatable and you can't figure out the cause (DLL version conflicts, undetected lack of disk space or RAM, IRQ or I/O port mis-configuration, corrupted registry, accidentally deleted files, corrupted file system, etc) you can try re-installing the software.
