Education: Ph.D. Electrical Engineering, The Dissertation: "Integrated Silicon Bipolar Wideband
Frequency Modulation Circuits for High-Performance Analog Lightwave
Transmission". My thesis can be summarized
as follows: ·
Designed, implemented, and tested integrated circuits for
0.5-2.0GHz operation in a high-speed silicon bipolar process. ·
Wideband VCO based on emitter-coupled architecture outperformed
in range and linearity all previously reported designs for Ultra-wideband
Transmission. Wideband demodulator operated as designed to match range of
VCO. ·
Developed and built novel phase noise measurement technique for
characterization of noisy oscillators. ·
Devised a simple design technique to reduce phase noise of
emitter-coupled multi-vibrators by design scaling. This is based on the
thesis experimental findings of phase noise at high-speed operation. ·
System level modeling to predict carrier-to-noise ratio and
inter-modulation distortion performance of the implemented circuits in an
optical CATV link showed record performance for wideband FM transmission. M.A.Sc Electrical

real-time power system simulator". BSEE Electronics Engineer, |
