California

I did an 8-month co-op work term in San Jose, CA. I travelled a lot with my deceased accord90, which I bought with a friend's friend for $3000 (and sold it for $1800 to a friend of mine). It wasn't a decent car at all; it's got transmission problem, and couldn't speed on freeways due to its "lightness". The windshield wiper broke down while I was driving on California 17 in pouring rain, and the remaining marked the windshield with an irreversible scratch. Despite all these and other imperfections, my "then" accord and I were comrades. We fought together through my challenging and unpredictable life. I should have taken some pictures with it.

(I've unfortunately lost contact with the person that helped me a lot with my life in San Jose. Without him I wouldn't have lived such a decent life in California. I can't express my gratitude adequately via words, but this is the only thing I can do by now. Thanks a bunch, Joseph. ^_^ I bought something for Hayley in Osaka and hope I can get that to her someday. )

And here's a selection of photographs I took during my days in California. They were taken at various places: Los Angeles, San Francisco, Standford, Golden Gate park, Santa Cruz etc. Personally I liked Santa Cruz the most, and I frequented there on weekends, especially the summer months. I also adored Standford for its grandness, and wondered how it's like being a scholar there.

Well enough said. Hope you enjoy these photographs as much as I do.
