Effective January 1, 2008, an amendment has been made to your B.C. student loan agreement.
Feb. 12, 2008
The option to repay your B.C. student loan at a fixed prime interest rate, plus not more than 5 percent per year, has been discontinued.
All B.C. student loans will be consolidated at the floating prime interest rate of prime, plus 2.5 percent per year.
Having your B.C. student loans consolidated at the floating prime interest rate, plus 2.5 percent per year, allows the interest applied to your B.C. student loan(s) to be calculated using today¡¯s lower interest rates.
