Welcome to ELEX 3525

2021-06-27

Lectures for ECET Level 3 and 4 students begin September 8.   The first ELEX 3525 lecture is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8  at 11:30 in SW1-2590. 

This will be followed by an orientation session at 12:30 PM in SW1-3555.  The orientation will introduce you to the Telecom program, the faculty, other students, set representative elections, deadlines, various student resources, guidelines for use of the labs, and will go over any remaining Covid-related restrictions.

Labs will begin the second week. 

Lecture and lab notes for the previous year are available.  These will be updated and reflect that the labs will be done in person. 

You do not need to purchase a textbook or a parts kit for ELEX 3525.

Lab 7 has been posted.  Since we did not have a chance to go over it last week, I'll go over it during the lab.

Quiz 4 Postponed

As requested, I've postponed Quiz 4 until Friday, November 26.

Quiz 4

Quiz 4 will cover the material covered between the second midterm and the end of Tuesday's lecture.  This includes: Lecture 8 (FEC), parts of Lecture 9 (m-sequences and self-synchronizing scramblers), and parts of Lecture 10 (Ethernet frame structure).

Exam and Unofficial Final Marks

The final exam has been marked and emailed back.  The solutions and the marking scheme have been posted.  Let me know as soon as possible if you see any errors (before noon on Monday if at all possible).
