Yanjie Dong received the B. Eng. in telecommunication engineering from Xidian University, China, 2011, M.A.Sc in Electrical Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Okanagan, 2016, and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UBC, Vancouver, 2020. He works under the guidance of Prof. Victor C. M. Leung. Prof. Md. Jahangir Hossain and Prof. Julian Cheng are his co-supervisors. His research interests focus on the protocol design of energy-efficient communications, machine learning, and large-scale optimizaition. He was the Webmaster of IEEE Student Branch of UBC, Okanagan campus. He served as the Webmaster of 28th Biennial Symposium on Communications (BSC'16), and Web Committee Chair of 6th International Conference on Game Theory for Networks (GameNets'16). He also serves/served as the Technical Program Committee Member in IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC'18 and ICC'19), IEEE ICC'18 Workshop on Integrating UAV into 5G, IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC'19'21), IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC-Fall'18 and VTC-Spring'19), IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC'17 and ICCC'18), International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference (IWCMC'18), EAI International Conference on 5G for Future Wireless Networks (5GWN'19).
