About Me

This is Mohammad Jafari. Currently, I work as the Head of AI and Software - Computational Design at Aspect Biosystems, a Canadian company driving advancements in bioprinting tissue therapeutics. I graduated with my PhD from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, where I worked under the supervision of Profs. Purang Abolmaesumi, Robert Rohling, and Teresa Tsang, researching robust machine learning methods for healthcare data analysis. After PhD, I worked at Harvard Medical School as a machine learning scientist, working under supervision of Profs. Tina Kapur, Sandy Wells, and Ofer Pasternak at Harvard's Laboratory of Mathematics in Imaging, researching design and development of robust deep learning models for multi-modal image and video analysis and healthcare data mining. I finished my MSc and BSc in software engineering at IUT, where I worked under supervision of Prof. Shadrokh Samavi in collaboration with Prof. Kayvan Najarian at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, developing machine learning algorithms for computer-assisted diagnosis of skin cancer.
