I am a fourth year PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering department at University of British Columbia. I work as a research assistant with Prof. Robert Rohling at Robotics and Control Laboratory. My research focuses on the understanding of acoustic properties of soft tissue using quantitative ultrasound(QUS). I develop methods to extract system independent QUS parameters, suitable as biomarkers for tissue characterization and disease detection.

I received my M.Sc. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Saskatchewan (U of S). At U of S, I worked with Dr. Khan A. Wahid and Dr. Francis Bui to develop computer aided abnormality detection algorithms from wireless capsule endoscopic images.

I have authored/co-authored 21 peer-reviewed journals and international conference papers (google scholar profile). I am a Schlumberger Faculty for the Future Fellow. I was also nominated as a finalist in Microsoft Research Fellowship 2019. I am currently serving as the Secretary and GSS counsellor in ECEGSA for 2019-2020 academic year.
