I received my B.E. in ECE from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, in 2004; M.E. in ICT from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, in 2007; M.Sc. in communication networks and services from Telecom SudParis, France, in 2007; and Ph.D. in ECE from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2013. I worked under the supervision of Prof. Vijay K. Bhargava during my Ph.D. Currently I am working as a Research Scientist at Intel Labs in Intel Corporation USA driving 4G/5G cellular mobile research. I have published over 25 scientific articles in refereed journals and conferences and have over 25 pending patents. I have also submitted/published over 18 research papers in 3GPP Cellular Standard Development meetings. I serve as reviewer for several journals and Conferences including eight IEEE's journals. I have served as TPC members of more than 6 conferences/workshops. I have received several awards/appreciations including "Certificate of Appreciation for being selected as Exemplary Reviewer in 2013" from IEEE Wireless Communications Letters (2013), "Best Technical Paper Award" from OPNETWORK2012 Conference (2012), ``French Regional Cooperation Fellowship'' (2007), ``The Aoyagi Prize'' in recognition of the most outstanding academic performance among the students in ICT at AIT (2007), ``Nepal Vidhyabhushan Kha'' from the President of Nepal (2007), ``The King’s scholarship for Education of Asia'' from His Majesty the King of Thailand (2005). My current research interests include device power saving and user experience enhancement mechanisms, machine type communication, small cell enhancement and device to device communications in LTE networks. Previously, I have worked on MAC design and QoS provisioning in cognitive radio networks, and resource allocation in cooperative cellular networks.
