The electricity system is straightforward. The main switch box is in the cellar to the left of the door to the lower terrace. It feeds two other switch panels, the main one that controls most lights and plugs in the house is in the small yellow room off the main dining area (we call it the breakfast room). It's on the wall to the left of the door. There is a second switch panel in the kitchen to the right of the sink.
The electricity is usually left on. When you arrive, if none of the lights work, then check the main switch panel in the cellar.

The master switch box is the one mounted on the reddish panel. It has two obvious buttons, a black 'on' switch and a red 'off' switch. Press the black switch to switch the electricity back on. The big white box to the left controls cellar lights and some external lights. |
If some lights work and others don't, the check the individual switches in the switch panels to see if one has tripped
The outside terrace lights dont always work and the lights for the stairs down from the drive don't work at all.
