Profile
Mehdi Alimadadi received
the B.A.Sc. degree from Iran University of
Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran,
Iran,
and M.A.Sc. degree
from University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver, Canada,
in 1989 and 2000, respectively. He worked as an Electrical Design
Engineer for a couple of companies in Toronto during years 2000 to
2004. In 2005 he started pursuing the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and
Computer Engineering at UBC. In 2007, he also worked as a
part time consultant for a local company in West Vancouver. He successfully defended
his Ph.D. thesis in July 2008.
Dr. Alimadadi has been
a recipient of MITACS ACCELERATE grant and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at UBC ECE department working
on advanced high frequency power converters. He is also a registered Professional
Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province
of British Columbia, Canada.
Research Interests
Mehdi's research interests are:
- On-chip power management
- Switching power converters
- DSP based digital controllers
Current Project
Mehdi is currently focused
on designing fully integrated on-chip power converters. In his IEEE
publications, he has proposed novel design ideas including innovative
charge-recycling and power-reduction methods for digital circuits.
