Mihai Huzmezan, Assistant Professor within the Department of Electrical
Engineering, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, received
the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in 1991 and 1993, respectively, from the
University "Politehnica", Bucharest, Romania in Aerospace Engineering.
The Ph.D. was received in 1998 from University of Cambridge, UK in
Aerospace Control Engineering. A Postdoctoral position was held between
1998 and 2000 with the Pulp and Paper Research Centre, University of
British Columbia.
His current research includes adaptive control, closed loop
identification, constrained predictive control, automatic drug delivery,
process control, pulp and paper applications, aerospace related issues
such as: air traffic control information systems, flight management,
reconfigurable control in case of failures.
IEEE Senior Member and Secretary of the Vancouver IEEE Section. Also he is a member of the Canadian Space
Institute (CASI), American Institute of Aeronautics and Aerospace (AIAA) and the Instrumentation Society of America
(ISA)
He is the owner and president of
MIH Consulting Group Ltd., a company incorporated with the aim of providing high quality engineering
consulting services in control and information technology.
Also, at the moment, he is presiding the board of Bionova Technologies Inc. a dynamic medical device company oriented towards the creation of new IP.
