IEEE Control Systems Society Recognizes Chapter Leadership of Professor Mihai Huzmezan

The Vancouver Chapter of the Control Systems Society, chaired by Professor Mihai Huzmezan, has been selected to receive the Outstanding Chapter Award for the year 2001.This award will be formally announced and presented by Wilson J. Rugh, IEEE Control Systems Society President, during the annual Awards Ceremony of the Society, which will be held during the 40th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), in Orlando, Florida, December 6, 2001. The award citation will read "For the organization of an impressive list of talks and technical visits dedicated to the pursuit of bridging the gap between industry and academia." The award consists of a $1000 check made out to the Chapter to support its activities, an award certificate, and up to $1000 in travel support for a Chapter representative to attend the CSS Awards Ceremony. We are delighted congratulate Professor Huzmezan and the Vancouver Chapter on this award.
