Problem 6.11 is for slowly-fading Rayleigh channels. The parts that require a numerical answer, (c) and (d), are for BPSK. The BER for BPSK in a slowly-fading Rayleigh is given by equation 5.155 (or the approximation in 5.159) and does not involve the Q function.
