oops i forgot to include my questions in the previous email (subject:
repost of DAC)
here they are:

1) for D/A converters, is the accuracy usually on the order of 1/2^N as
     well (like the linearity)?

     2) What are monolithic ICs?  how are they used in DAC? and how are
they
     connected in a circuit?
