Marking of Final Exam
Marks were assigned as follows:
- Question 1
2 for each part, (in each part, 1 for method, 1 for answer): (a:
yes, b: 663 uW/m^2, c: 75 mW, d: 18.8 mW).
- Question 2
1 for noise power (-132 dBm), 1 for using Friis equation, 1 for
signal power (-112.5 dBm), 1 for correct answer (-11.5 dB)
- Question 3
1 each for correct answer to parts (a) (Rayleigh) and (b)
(Gaussian), 3 for part (c) (1 for method, 1 for correct sigma (10
dB), 1 for correct answer: 1 or 2 at 2 sigma)
- Question 4
1 for method, 1 for correct value of first and second moments, 1
for correct final answer (0.47 us)
- Question 5
1 for f_D ~= 83 Hz, 1 for equation for N_R, 1 for either solution
(2.5 (wrong) or 0.005 (right)), 1 for correct answer (59 dB).
- Question 6
2 for each part (1 for equation, 1 for answer) (beta=4, SNR=39
dB).
- Question 7
1 for using AWGN BER equation, 1 for averaging BER (not Eb/No),
1 for calculation, 1 for answer (5.9E-2)
- Question 8
1/2 mark per right answer (part 6 for IS-95 not marked)
