Featureful Alarm Clock
The project is to design and build the ultimate alarm
clock. It should include as many features as time and
resources allow. Some possibilities include:
- different alarm times for weekends and holidays
- speech synthesis for wake-up messages
- graphical touch-pad for programming
- X10 interface for remote control of appliances
- computer interface to download wake-up schedules
- infrared remote control of TVs, stereos, etc
- GPS receiver interface for time/location input
- telephone ringer control
The clock will be implemented with a microcontroller and
will involve user interface design, programming, and
digital logic design.
