Marking of Assignment 2

Only Question 1 was marked. Marks were assigned as follows:

• 9 marks for documentation: 3 marks for each of the three types of comments (file, function and in-line) required by the course documentation guidelines. In each case, marks were awarded as follows:
  • 3 if the comment(s) is/are complete or nearly complete,
  • 2 marks if there are significant omissions,
  • 1 mark if almost all comments are missing,
  • 0 if there is no comment of that type.
  0 marks are awarded if a comment is factually incorrect, regardless of how complete it is.
• 4 marks for writing and using the four functions required by the assignment (1 mark per function)
• 1 mark if the test input is given and it includes vowels
• 3 marks for the correct output, 1 if there are some errors, 0 if there is no output

In addition, the shortest solution (in number of bytes) will get one bonus mark and the solution the TA finds easiest to understand will also get one bonus mark.
