Unfortunately the ModelSim software required for Quartus II simulation is not installed so you may have to download and install it.  Start the installation by doing the following:

• Check the Start menu folder Altera 14.0 ... for a sub-folder called ModelSim-Altera ...; if the ModelSim folder exists then skip the instructions below
• If the file ModelSimSetup-14.0.0.200-windows.exe is not in the root (/) folder of the D: drive copy it there from the course ShareOut folder
• Run this program to start installing the simulation software
• Select the "Starter Edition - License is not required" option
• Accept the license
• Change the installation directory to C:\Apps\altera\14.0 (add the Apps directory)
• Wait until the installation completes (should take about 8 minutes)
