 Background Arash contributed in developing
                      two transmission line models: Frequency-Dependent
Line Model (FDLM) and Discrete-Time Fourier Series
(DTFS). The FDLM is a time-domain model which is
numerically more efficient than the existing line
models while it physically coincides with the
behaviour of a real line. The DTFS is a
frequency-domain tool which is used as a reference
solution to improve the accuracy of the
time-domain models. The DTFS is more accurate,
numerically more efficient, and much simpler to
                      implement than the existing frequency-domain
                      solutions.
