Background
Mehrdad is currently working with
the Protection and Automation Group of Quanta Technology-Toronto.
This group develops and practices industry-leading techniques for wide-area
protection studies.
Mehrdad is also active in research on modeling and simulation of power systems.
His current research collaboration with the Power and Energy Group is
on EMTP models for simulation of wind turbine generators.
Mehrdad has additional research interest and experience in
modeling and control of power electronics and FACTs devices,
power quality assessment and control, and
electric drives.
