Background
Dr. Hamid Atighechi has been with
BC Hydro, since 2013, as a System Performance
Planning engineer conducting operational planning
studies, and developing system operating orders
and remedial action schemes (RAS). He has also
been a visitor scientist at UBC since 2013
conducting research and collaborating with other
fellow researchers.
Dr. Hamid Atighechi is a registered Professional
Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of British
Columbia, a Certified Associate in Project
Management (CAPM) by PMI, and an active member of
the IEEE Power and Energy Society. He has been a
contributing member of the IEEE Task Force on
Dynamic Average Modeling, under the Working Group
on Modeling and Analysis of System Transients
Using Digital Programs. He has published nearly
forty technical papers in peer-reviewed journals
and conference proceedings.
