This is just a reminder that the IEEE Seminar on Next Generation Wireless System Planning Tools will be held next Tuesday. Although admission is free and open to all, pre-registration is strongly recommended. See http://members.home.net/comsoc-vancouver/nextgen.html for the details. This is a "must attend" event for anyone interested or involved in wireless communications. 2. Quite a few colleagues from across Canada, the U.S., and around the world have expressed interest in obtaining a recording of our seminar together with a copy of the presenters' slides. We had considered video but are leaning towards audio recording since it's likely to be much cheaper, simpler, and easier. If you are in a position to give us a hand with this, I would very much like to hear from you. Our ultimate goal is to turn the recording into a pair of audio CD-R's. 3. Most of you are aware of the labour dispute at BCIT. I contacted the BCIT FSA and sought to obtain an agreement that will allow the event to go ahead as planned. While they won't endorse the event, they assured me that their members will not attempt to stop anyone from attending our presentation. We are looking into alternatives just in case. If there is any change in plan or venue, I'll let you know via the mailing list. -- -o) Dave Michelson /\\ dmichelson@ieee.org _\_v
