Marking of Assignment 1

Only Questions 3 and 8 were marked. The maximum mark for this assignment was 16.

For Question 3 one-half mark was assigned for each correct answer for a maximum of 6 marks. Leading zeros can be omitted.

For Question 8, two marks were assigned for each of the following:

• correctly stating the inputs
• correctly stating the outputs
• a state transition diagram showing at least four states
• 3 state transitions out of each state (corresponding to each of the possible inputs). Don't-care's or other notations that combine various input conditions are acceptable.
• a table showing the output as a function off state with at least one state having the release output asserted
