Marking of Assignment 9
Question 1 was marked out of 6. Marks were awarded as
follows:
- computing the a's and b's properly (essentially duplicating
the commands in the previous assingment) (1 mark)
- scaling the values for a maximum of 1 (1 mark)
- rounding properly to 6 bits (1 mark)
- rounding properly to 12 bits (1 mark)
- plotting the 6 and 12 bit responses (2 marks)
It would probably have been better to scale the a and
b coefficients together instead of independently as in
the solution since this is what a typical implmentation would
require. Either solution was accepted.
1/2 mark was deducted for not using max(abs()) unless you
mentioned you checked the values by eye when scale the
coefficients.
