Marking of Assignment 4

Question 1 was marked out of 5. The marking scheme was as follows:

• Two marks for part (a):

  1 mark for getting the divisor and dividend right (essentially for expanding the denominator and changing to powers of z^-1).

  1 mark for doing the division properly: arranging the terms in the right order, doing the arithmetic correctly, etc.

• One mark for part (b):

  one mark for setting up the input to the filter() function properly

• Two marks for part (c):

  one mark for working out the powers of z^{-1} properly

  one mark for putting the right values into the filter() function
