VHDL Information on the Internet

• In the fall of 1998 I taught a course on VHDL for the Integrated Microelectronics Engineering series of continuing-eduation courses. The lecture notes (PDF format) and slides are a short introduction to logic synthesis with VHDL.

• Peter Ashenden's VHDL Cookbook a short book on the VHDL language. Chapters 1 to 6 are a reasonable substitute for a VHDL reference (1.6 MByte compressed tar file).
