      Biography

       Ahmad Ashoori was born in September 1984 in Tehran, Iran. In 1998, after getting accepted in the nationwide entrance exam, He entered the Allameh Helli high school in Tehran, which is affiliated with the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET). He graduated from high school and got the 273rd rank among more than about 400,000 participants in Iran national universities entrance exam in 2002. He got his BSc degree in control engineering at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Tehran in Tehran, Iran in 2006 and entered the same faculty as MSc student and graduated in 2008. He was then admitted to the University of British Columbia and currently is a PhD student of Electrical Engineering (control option) in the ECE Department there.
